Getting six pack abs may seem difficult, but with the right abs exercises it’s far easier than you could imagine. Today I’m going to go over a few workouts that will help you get great abdominals fast, these are the bread and butter of ab exercises. However, this post is NOT a complete guide to get a six pack. So if thats what your looking for than you should definetly check this page out about how to get a six pack fast…
Air Bike
- Lie flat on the floor with your lower back pressed to the ground.
For this exercise, you will need to put your hands beside your head. Be
careful however to not strain with the neck as you perform it. Now lift
your shoulders into the crunch position. - Bring knees up to where they are perpendicular to the floor, with
your lower legs parallel to the floor. This will be your starting
position. - Now simultaneously, slowly go through a cycle pedal motion kicking
forward with the right leg and bringing in the knee of the left leg.
Bring your right elbow close to your left knee by crunching to the
side, as you breathe out. - Go back to the initial position as you breathe in.
- Crunch to the opposite side as you cycle your legs and bring closer your left elbow to your right knee and exhale.
- Continue alternating in this manner until all of the recommended repetitions for each side have been completed.
Notes: While you cannot add resistance to this exercise you can concentrate on perfect execution and slow speed.
Ab Roller
- Hold the Ab Roller with both hands and kneel on the floor.
- Now place the ab roller on the floor in front of you so that you
are on all your hands and knees (as in a kneeling push up position).
This will be your starting position. - Slowly roll the ab roller straight forward, stretching your body
into a straight position. Tip: Go down as far as you can without
touching the floor with your body. Breathe in during this portion of
the movement. - After a pause at the stretched position, start pulling yourself
back to the starting position as you breathe out. Tip: Go slowly and
keep your abs tight at all times.
Caution: This exercise is not advised for people with lower back problems or hernias.
Variations: If you are advanced you can perform the exercise moving the ab roller to the sides in a diagonal fashion as opposed to straight forward. This version places more emphasis on the obliques.
By sticking to those abdominal exercises you’ll soon get great ab muscles. But of course to make these work you need to be eating the right diet and keeping to a few other guidelines. For a complete plan you should take a look at this guide on how to get six pack abs.

The Air Bike exercise is the better one to do if you have a bad back, or if you had an injury of some sort because it doesn’t put a lot of strain on it.
