Companies that produce Bodybuilding Egg Whites, such as: Lana’s Egg Whites, Egg Whites International, Eggology, and I think there is one more, will use a process that gets rid of salmonella and other bacteria found in raw eggs. If you want to go raw and not risk the bad egg, then you would be best picking up on of those products. They are all about the same in price, when you compare the actual amount in the container with the price. However, shipping will probably come at a pretty penny as some of these companies only have one size. They generally have to be shipped cold packed, and with the summer months and hot days setting in, it is better to go to a nutrition store that carries their products. We were carrying Lana’s Egg Whites that we kept in a freezer. They take about a day to thaw out. There are other products that are maintainable in a cooler for about 3 to 4 months. Even though you don’t have the bacteria issue to worry about, you still have to make sure you consume the product within about 2 months of purchase.

I guess I should have stated that I’m not trying to endorse anything. I thought that would have been understood as I mentioned several different manufacturers and that I only carried one in the past. However, I have done the 5 dozen egg thing myself as a means to save money, but I cook my eggs; never raw. But that’s just me. As for the products I mentioned, they’re an option to anyone who wants to spend the money for them; regardless of where you want to buy them.
Peace, I’m out.
I spoke with two dietitions at work and both said there’s no difference in absorption of cooked vs raw egg. Save your money and buy eggs at the store and cook them in the microwave and enjoy.
That’s all I wanted to know. I was at Costco yesterday and bought 2 cases of Kirkland brand egg starts to add to my protein shakes. But I still like the taste of a raw egg.
